{"id":259219,"date":"2025-01-23T10:36:47","date_gmt":"2025-01-23T06:36:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/?p=259219"},"modified":"2025-01-23T10:36:49","modified_gmt":"2025-01-23T06:36:49","slug":"armenias-banking-system-reports-a-profit-of-363-billion-drams-in-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2025\/01\/23\/259219\/","title":{"rendered":"Armenia&#8217;s banking system reports a profit of 363 billion drams in 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>YEREVAN, January 23. \/ARKA\/. <\/strong>The profit of Armenia&#8217;s banking system for 2024 amounted to approximately 363 billion drams, according to the Union of Banks of Armenia (UBA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As reported earlier, the banking system of Armenia generated a profit of about 230 billion drams by the end of 2023, which is 9.2% lower than in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the latest report, total capital increased by 300 billion drams, or 20%, reaching 1,779 billion drams by the end of 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Total assets grew by about 1,838 billion drams, or 20%, totaling 11,023 billion drams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the reporting period, credit investments increased by 1,253 billion drams (25%), reaching 6,277 billion drams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Liabilities to customers rose by approximately 918 billion drams (17%), totaling 6,431 billion drams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As of the end of 2024, there were 18 commercial banks operating in Armenia.
