{"id":260192,"date":"2025-02-06T14:40:06","date_gmt":"2025-02-06T10:40:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/?p=260192"},"modified":"2025-02-06T14:40:08","modified_gmt":"2025-02-06T10:40:08","slug":"armenia-to-start-providing-loans-of-up-to-15-billion-drams-for-the-creation-of-greenhouse-farms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2025\/02\/06\/260192\/","title":{"rendered":"Armenia to start providing loans of up to 15 billion drams for the creation of greenhouse farms"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>YEREVAN, February 6. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> On Thursday, the Armenian government approved a program to stimulate the development of modern, technologically advanced large greenhouse farms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As reported by Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan, there are currently greenhouse farms operating in Armenia with a total area of about 1,500 hectares, of which just over 250 hectares have been established using modern technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Papoyan pointed out that state support for the creation of greenhouse farms is currently limited to 3 billion drams, which is insufficient to establish large-scale farms. To address this, the new program proposes allocating up to 15 billion drams in subsidized loans, enabling each beneficiary to create a modern greenhouse farm with an area of up to 20 hectares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under this scheme, 3 billion drams of the issued amount will be subsidized at 10% of the interest rate, loans between 3 billion and 9 billion drams will be subsidized at 9%, and the remaining funds will be subsidized at 8%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result of this decision, it is expected that by the end of 2026, 35 hectares of modern greenhouse farms will be established.
