YEREVAN, August 24. \/ARKA\/. The volume of crediting of agriculture by the Armenian banks in the 2nd quarter of 2011 increased by 27.2% making over 68.6 billion drams.

\nAccording to the data of intermediary financial reports of the banks for the second quarter of 2011, the volume of credits for economy development was about 1.1 trillion drams vs. 918.4 million drams at the beginning of 2011.

\nAccording to the analysis of \u201cARKA\u201d, the leader in the banking system on crediting of agriculture in the reporting period was AGBA-Credit Agricole Bank whose share in the total volume of crediting in this sector was 52%. In the total credit portfolio of AGBA-Credit Agricole Bank , crediting of agricultural sector was about 27.8% or 35.7 billion drams (27.2 billion drams at the beginning of 2011).

\nAmong the leader banks are also Armbusinessbank (over 4.9 billion drams), Ardshininvestbank (over 4.8 billion drams), Armeconombank (over 4.6 billion drams) and Artsakhbank (about 3.3 billion drams). Weighted average of the given indicator in the total credit portfolio of these banks is 7.2%, 7.1%, 6.7% and 4.8% respectively.
