{"id":26481,"date":"2011-08-26T14:18:57","date_gmt":"2011-08-26T14:18:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2011\/08\/26\/233590\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T12:52:36","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T12:52:36","slug":"ifc-invested-70-million-in-armenia-in-past-fiscal-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2011\/08\/26\/26481\/","title":{"rendered":"IFC Invested $70 Million In Armenia In Past Fiscal Year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, August 26. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> International Finance Corporation invested $70 million in Armenia in the fiscal year that ended on July 30, 2011, IFC Regional Director Thomas Lubeck said on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>This is two times greater amount than that invested in Armenia in the previous fiscal year.<\/p>\n<p>Lubeck told journalists that the IFC has enlarged its financial participation in Armenia\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n<p>He said the bulk of investments has targeted banking sector and small and mid-scale businesses, particularly agricultural.<\/p>\n<p>The IFC regional director said that certain part of investments has been intended for development of risk management in local banks.<\/p>\n<p>Armenia joined the International Finance Corporation in 1995.
