YEREVAN, July 1. \/ARKA\/. The net inflow of private remittances in Armenia from abroad sent through the banks in January-May 2025 amounted to $511.7 million, compared to $449.4 million in January-May 2024, according to a report by the Central Bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thus, this indicator grew by 13.9% on an annual basis. At the same time, in May of this year, the net inflow of remittances amounted to $238.3 million, compared to $121.8 million in May last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The inflow of private cross-border remittances in Armenia amounted to $2.3 billion in the first five months of this year, compared to $2.1 billion in the same period last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among the leaders in remittances to Armenia are Russia with $1.5 billion and the United States with $266.3 million. Russia and the United States were also the leaders in remittances sent to Armenia in January-May last year ($1.4 billion and $270 million, respectively).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The outflow of remittances from Armenia abroad amounted to $1.8 billion in January-May 2025, compared to $1.6 billion for the same period in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
