YEREVAN, August 19. \/ARKA\/. VTB Bank (Armenia) has become a participant in the Newmag BOOK DONATION educational and charitable initiative, which aims to enrich the collections of community libraries located in the regions of Armenia, as reported by the bank’s press service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The project fosters the growth of a reading culture and broadens educational opportunities for individuals residing in remote areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Under this program, each library is set to receive 500 new books in Armenian from the Newmag publishing house, encompassing a diverse array of ages and interests\u2014from fiction and classical literature to children’s, educational, and professional literature. Consequently, numerous libraries throughout Armenia will refresh their book collections and gain a new impetus for growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the initial phase of this initiative, VTB Bank (Armenia) extended its support to libraries in Gyumri and Goris. The bank’s involvement in the event held in Goris was particularly significant, as on August 15, City Day, the library was presented with a valuable donation\u2014500 new books of various genres from the Newmag publishing house, facilitated by VTB (Armenia).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This ceremonial presentation was integrated into the festive program and highlighted the importance of advancing culture and education in the regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Promoting education, culture, and self-improvement is a crucial aspect of VTB (Armenia)’s mission. We believe that providing access to quality literature will encourage reading, learning, and intellectual development among residents in the regions, particularly the younger generation,” stated Ara Avagyan, CEO and Chairman of the Board of VTB (Armenia).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“BOOK DONATION transcends mere book donations. It represents a sustained initiative aimed at revitalizing the culture of reading in the regions, enhancing access to literature, and transforming libraries into contemporary educational environments.
