YEREVAN<\/strong>, August 31. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> Inflation in Armenia in August 2011 compared to the same period in 2010 was 4.8%, Armenian National Statistic Service informed. This figure is mainly due to rising prices of food products (including alcoholic drinks and cigarettes) by 6.9% and non-food products – 3%.<\/p>\n

In August 2011 compared to August 2010 prices for services increased by 2.1%.<\/p>\n

Consumer price index in January-August 2011 compared to the same period of 2010 was 108.8%, including food products – (alcoholic drinks and cigarettes) \u2013 113.2% , non-food products -103.1% and services \u2013 104.3%.<\/p>\n

In January-August monthly decline of consumer prices was 0.03% instead of average monthly growth of 0.6% for the same period of the last year.<\/p>\n

In August compared with July consumer index reduced by 0.6%. Prices for food products (including alcoholic drinks and cigarettes) reduced by 1%, non-food products \u2013 0.1% and services increased by 0.1%.<\/p>\n

In August compared to July in all the studied cities of the country consumer prices reduced by 1.4-0.1%, the highest decrease was recorded in the city Martuni. Consumer prices reduced 0.6% in the same period in Yerevan .<\/p>\n

According to the state budget, inflation in Armenia was planned for 2011 on the level of 4% (\u00b11.5%).\u20130\u2014<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
