YEREVAN, September 4. \/ARKA\/. The net amount of private money transfers sent to Armenia via the banking system from abroad during January to July 2025 totaled $716.6 million, compared to $758.7 million during the same period in 2024, according to a report from the Central Bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Consequently, this figure represents a year-on-year decrease of approximately 5.5%. In July of this year, the net inflow was recorded at $129 million, down from $163.3 million in July of the previous year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The total inflow of private money transfers from abroad through the banking system for the first 7 months of this year reached $3.3 billion, an increase from $3 billion during the same timeframe last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Leading the money transfers to Armenia are Russia, contributing $2.1 billion, and the United States, with $396.1 million. Notably, Russia and the United States also topped the list for the first 7 months of the previous year, with approximately $2 billion and $388.5 million, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Simultaneously, the outflow of individual moeny transfers from Armenia to foreign countries, conducted through the banking system amounted to $2.6 billion for January to July 2025, compared to $2.2 billion for the same period in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In terms of money transfers from Armenia abroad over the 7-month period, Russia ($419.5 million) and Switzerland ($387.2 million) emerged as the leading countries.
