YEREVAN, October 1. \/ARKA\/. According to a report from Armenia’s Central Bank, the net inflow of private money transfers to Armenia from abroad via the banking system during January to August 2025 reached $889.3 million, an increase from $790.7 million during the same period in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Consequently, this figure reflects an approximate year-on-year increase of 12.5%. In August of this year, the net inflow was $172.7 million, compared to $32.1 million in August of the previous year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The total inflow of private money transfers to Armenia from abroad through the banking system for the first 8 months of this year was $3.7 billion, compared to $3.6 billion during the same timeframe last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Russia is the leading country for money transfers to Armenia, contributing $2.40 billion, followed by the United States with $460 million. Both Russia and the United States were also the top contributors for the first eight months of last year, with approximately $2.36 billion and $450.4 million, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Simultaneously, the outflow of private money transfers from Armenia through the banking system from January to August 2025 totaled $2.9 billion, compared to $2.8 billion for the same period in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
