Effective January 1, 2026, the cashback rate for pensioners and benefit recipients on cashless transactions for purchases and housing and utility services will rise to 20%, up from the current 12%, as announced by Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Arsen Torosyan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Consequently, pensions will see an increase of approximately 3,000-3,500 drams. Our citizens will have the opportunity to enhance their pensions and benefits through cashless payments,&#8221; Torosyan stated during a government Q&amp;A session in parliament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The cashback initiative for pensioners and benefit recipients in Armenia has been operational since July 1, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Initially, participants received a 10% cashback on their monthly expenditures (capped at 5,000 drams per month); this was later raised to 12% (with a maximum of 6,000 drams). The cashback amount is disbursed by the 25th of the subsequent month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On September 25, 2025, the Armenian government allocated nearly 3.22 billion drams to sustain the cashback program for pensioners and benefit recipients through the end of the year.
