My advice: don&#8217;t trust anyone in the digital world,&#8221; Komitas Stepanyan, head of the Central Bank of Armenia&#8217;s IT and Cybersecurity Directorate, told Novosti-Armenia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He urged citizens to be reasonably suspicious. If you receive a call from an unfamiliar number claiming to be a bank employee and requesting information to resolve a problem, you should disconnect the call and contact the bank at the official number listed on its website or on your card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Remember that a bank employee will never ask you for personal information, especially over the phone. I urge you to be reasonably suspicious, not paranoid,&#8221; Stepanyan emphasized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Central Bank representative noted that since digitalization has &#8220;invaded&#8221; Armenian society so rapidly, citizens have developed a gap in awareness regarding basic cybersecurity rules.
