{"id":270196,"date":"2026-02-02T10:35:12","date_gmt":"2026-02-02T06:35:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/?p=270196"},"modified":"2026-02-02T10:36:06","modified_gmt":"2026-02-02T06:36:06","slug":"net-inflow-of-remittances-to-armenia-from-abroad-increased-by-8-6-in-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2026\/02\/02\/270196\/","title":{"rendered":"Net inflow of money transfers to Armenia from abroad increased by 8.6% in 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>YEREVAN, February 2. \/ARKA\/. <\/strong>The net inflow of cross-border money transfers to individuals in Armenia, received from abroad through the Armenian banking system, amounted to $1.64 billion in January-December 2025, compared to $1.51 billion in January-December 2024, according to a report from the Central Bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thus, this figure increased by approximately 8.6% year-on-year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moreover, the net inflow in December 2025 amounted to $315.1 million, compared to $385 million in December 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The inflow of cross-border money transfers to individuals in Armenia, received from abroad through the Armenian banking system, amounted to $5.98 billion last year, compared to $5.84 billion in the previous year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the leading countries for transfers to Armenia were Russia with $3.88 billion and the United States with $733.8 million. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, Russia and the United States also led transfers to Armenia in 2024 ($3.82 billion and $690.6 million, respectively).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, the outflow of transfers from individuals in Armenia abroad, made through the Armenian banking system, amounted to $4.34 billion in 2025, compared to $4.33 billion in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last year, Russia ($749.9 million) and the UAE ($631.9 million) led transfers from Armenia abroad.
