Moreover, compared to the previous quarter, Q4 2025, the increase was 5.84%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is according to the ARKA news agency&#8217;s bulletin &#8220;Armenian Bank Performance Indicators. Operational Data for Q1 2026,&#8221; compiled based on Armenian banks&#8217; reports published in accordance with IFRS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is worth noting that all 17 banks operating in Armenia ended the first quarter with a profit. Of these, 10 banks increased their profits compared to the first quarter of 2025, while 7 banks saw a decrease. A comparison of quarterly profits shows that only 5 banks registered growth, while the remaining 12 banks saw a decrease in profits compared to the fourth quarter of last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The total assets of Armenian banks as of March 31, 2026, amounted to 13.15 trillion drams (a 2.51% increase compared to the previous quarter and a 16.67% increase compared to the first quarter of 2025).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The volume of bank loan investments at the end of March 2026 amounted to 8.01 trillion drams, an increase of 4.05% compared to the end of December 2025 and 22.63% compared to the end of March 2025. Total liabilities at the end of the first quarter of 2026 amounted to 10.85 trillion drams, representing a 1.86% increase compared to the fourth quarter of 2025 and a 15.76% increase compared to the first quarter of 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The total capital of Armenian banks as of March 31, 2026, amounted to 2.3 trillion drams, an increase of 5.7% compared to the previous quarter and 21.16% compared to the same quarter of the previous year.
