{"id":272420,"date":"2026-04-21T15:27:18","date_gmt":"2026-04-21T11:27:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/?p=272420"},"modified":"2026-04-21T15:27:20","modified_gmt":"2026-04-21T11:27:20","slug":"500-dram-coins-remain-in-circulation-in-armenia-following-removal-of-old-banknotes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2026\/04\/21\/272420\/","title":{"rendered":"500-Dram Coins Remain in Circulation in Armenia Following Removal of Old Banknotes"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>YEREVAN, April 21. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> 500-Dram coins remain in circulation in Armenia; the decision to withdraw old-generation banknotes from circulation does not apply to them, according to a statement from the Central Bank&#8217;s press service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Effective April 15, 2026, some second-generation banknotes in Armenia have been withdrawn from circulation due to wear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;All coins, including the 500-Dram coin, remain in circulation and retain their status as legal tender.
