{"id":272867,"date":"2026-05-11T19:48:35","date_gmt":"2026-05-11T15:48:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/?p=272867"},"modified":"2026-05-11T19:48:37","modified_gmt":"2026-05-11T15:48:37","slug":"a-new-level-of-insurance-innovation-the-armenian-bureau-of-motor-insurers-and-gaip-sign-a-cooperation-agreement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2026\/05\/11\/272867\/","title":{"rendered":"A New Level of Insurance Innovation: The Armenian Bureau of Motor Insurers and GAIP Sign a Cooperation Agreement"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>YEREVAN, May 11. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> The Armenian Bureau of Motor Insurers and the international organization Global Association of InsurTech Professionals (GAIP) signed a cooperation agreement on Monday in the field of compulsory motor insurance (CMTPLI) and insurance technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The document was signed by Vaghinak Yeghiazaryan, Executive Director of the Armenian Bureau of Motor Insurers, and Aftab Hasan, Founder of GAIP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The signing comes ahead of the InsureTek Armenia 2026 international forum, which will be held in Yerevan on June 4 with the participation of representatives of the Armenian and international insurance and technology sectors, investors, and experts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yeghiazaryan stated that the insurance sector in Armenia does not yet occupy a leading position in the financial system, but that expanding the use of digital technologies and artificial intelligence is essential for the industry&#8217;s development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hasan, in turn, announced that the InsureTek Armenia 2026 conference will feature participation not only from the local insurance market but also from international experts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We view Armenia as an important destination for regional and international dialogue and innovation in the insurance sector. There is a growing understanding of the sector&#8217;s importance in the country, and numerous projects are being implemented, which we highly welcome.
