YEREVAN, May 12. \/ARKA\/. <\/strong>The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is one of the leading institutional investors in Armenia, and to date has invested over \u20ac3 billion in Armenia through 245 projects, 85% of which are in the private sector. Elisabetta Falcetti, the bank’s Executive Director for Turkey and the Caucasus, stated this in an interview with ARKA news agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This level of investment underscores Armenia’s importance to the EBRD, as well as its growing ability to effectively attract and utilize investment resources,” she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Falcetti, Armenia has seen record investment volumes for the second consecutive year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“After reaching a historic high of \u20ac396 million in 2024, our investments have reached a new record high of approximately \u20ac426 million in 2025 across 26 projects. This stable growth reflects the EBRD’s confidence in Armenia’s economic potential and the country’s strong capacity to absorb investment,” she emphasized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Executive Director noted that the bank’s project pipeline remains significant going forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We look forward to another successful year, continuing to support private sector development, sustainable infrastructure, human capital, and stability across all sectors of the Armenian economy,” she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this context, Falcetti noted that developing and strengthening regional connections is becoming a key strategic priority, particularly in the areas of transport, energy, and digital infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“These sectors play a key role in ensuring Armenia’s long-term productivity, resilience, and social cohesion,” she explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
