As of April 2026, 531,000 pensioners and benefit beneficiaries in Armenia were using the cashback program for non-cash purchases, according to RA Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Arsen Torosyan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;In January 2026, their number was 400,000. Thus, this year alone, the number of beneficiaries has increased by 130,000,&#8221; Torosyan wrote on Facebook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The minister noted that the average monthly cashback has actually increased from 4,000 to 8,000 drams. &#8220;It&#8217;s safe to say that for almost everyone, pensions have increased, on average, not by 10,000 drams, but by 18,000 drams, and this amount will approach 20,000 drams,&#8221; Torosyan said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>About cashback on benefits and pensions<br>Since July 1, 2022, a cashback program for non-cash payments for purchases and utilities has been in effect in Armenia for pensioners and benefit recipients. By government decision, the program has been extended until December 31, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Initially, the cashback amount was 10% of monthly expenses, up to 5,000 drams; later, it was increased to 12%, up to 6,000 drams. Effective January 1, 2026, the cashback amount has been set at 20%, up to 10,000 drams per month.
