{"id":273719,"date":"2026-05-27T16:48:26","date_gmt":"2026-05-27T12:48:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/?p=273719"},"modified":"2026-05-27T16:48:46","modified_gmt":"2026-05-27T12:48:46","slug":"armenia-to-receive-e170-3-million-ibrd-loan-for-economic-transformation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2026\/05\/27\/273719\/","title":{"rendered":"Armenia to Receive \u20ac170.3 Million IBRD Loan for Economic Transformation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>YEREVAN, May 27. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> On Wednesday, the Armenian government approved a proposal to sign a \u20ac170.3 million loan agreement with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD, a World Bank entity).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The funds will be used to develop Armenia&#8217;s economic transformation policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the rationale for the decision, the reforms include improving the investment climate, strengthening competition, developing digitalization and cybersecurity, and transitioning to a green economy through climate regulation, emission control, and the implementation of environmental standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The loan is provided for 28 years, including a 10-year grace period.
