Public debt as of December 31, 2025, amounted to approximately 5.5 trillion drams, while government debt amounted to 5.3 trillion drams,&#8221; Hovhannisyan noted during preliminary discussions of the annual report on the execution of Armenia&#8217;s state budget for 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The minister reported that the debt structure continued to improve: the share of domestic debt by residence increased by 1 percentage point, reaching 53%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the Ministry of Finance, Armenia&#8217;s total public debt as of March 31, 2026, amounted to $14.077 billion, compared to $13.906 billion as of December 31, 2025. In dram terms, the public debt amounted to 5.314 trillion drams, compared to 5.303.2 billion drams at the end of 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the public debt structure as of March 31, 2026, the government&#8217;s debt amounted to $14.068 billion (including external debt of $6.672.6 million and domestic debt of $7.396.3 million), while the community debt amounted to $8.18 million (including external debt of $8.03 million and domestic debt of $0.15 million).
