{"id":27516,"date":"2011-09-26T14:08:20","date_gmt":"2011-09-26T14:08:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2011\/09\/26\/233788\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T12:53:01","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T12:53:01","slug":"experts-divided-over-impact-of-world-gold-price-plunge-on-armenias-economy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2011\/09\/26\/27516\/","title":{"rendered":"Experts divided over impact of world gold price plunge on Armenia\u2019s economy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, September 26. \/ARKA\/. <\/strong>Armenian experts are divided over whether  the recent precipitous fall in gold prices in world markets can impact  Armenia\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n<p>Mikael Verdyan, FOREX CLUB analyst, has told ARKA News Agency that the  plummeting gold prices are unlikely to have dramatic impact on Armenia\u2019s  economy and banking capital, since demand for gold bullions in the  country is low.<br \/>\nAt the same time, he said that pressures on gold are likely to remain this week.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike Verdyan, Karen Turyan, director of ArmSwissbank\u2019s investment  division, thinks the fall in gold prices was triggered by precipitously  increased demand for the dollar and fears this may lead to a double-dip  global crisis, which will affect the Armenian economy.<\/p>\n<p>Gold prices keep going down at COMEX in New York. Gold here is now being  traded between $1,546.3 and 1,666.3 per one troy oz.
