{"id":278746,"date":"2026-09-01T17:46:51","date_gmt":"2026-09-01T13:46:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/?p=278746"},"modified":"2026-09-01T17:46:53","modified_gmt":"2026-09-01T13:46:53","slug":"net-inflow-of-remittances-to-armenia-from-abroad-increased-by-approximately-2-2-times-in-7-months","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2026\/09\/01\/278746\/","title":{"rendered":"Net inflow of remittances to Armenia from abroad increased by approximately 2.2 times in 7 months"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>YEREVAN, September 1. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> The net inflow of cross-border transfers to individuals in Armenia, received from abroad through the Armenian banking system, amounted to $1.56 billion in January-July 2026, compared to $716.6 million in January-July 2025, according to a report from the Central Bank of the Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thus, this indicator increased 2.17 times year-on-year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Moreover, in July alone, the net inflow of remittances amounted to $179.1 million, compared to $129 million in July last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The inflow of cross-border transfers to individuals in Armenia, received from abroad through the Armenian banking system, amounted to $3.9 billion in the first seven months of this year, compared to $3.3 billion in the first seven months of last year. Russia leads the way in transfers to Armenia with $2.67 billion and the United States with $424.9 million. Russia and the United States also led in transfers to Armenia for the 2025 reporting period ($2.12 billion and $396.1 million, respectively).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the same time, the outflow of individual transfers from Armenia abroad, made through the Armenian banking system, amounted to $2.34 billion in January-July 2026, compared to $2.57 billion in the same period in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The United States ($365.7 million) and the UAE ($328 million) led in transfers from Armenia abroad during the reporting months.
