{"id":27933,"date":"2011-10-06T17:13:50","date_gmt":"2011-10-06T17:13:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2011\/10\/06\/233872\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T12:53:11","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T12:53:11","slug":"government-of-armenia-not-intends-to-attract-eurobonds-prime-minister","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2011\/10\/06\/27933\/","title":{"rendered":"Government Of Armenia Not Intends To Attract Eurobonds \u2013 Prime Minister"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, October 6. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> The Government of Armenia plans not to attract Eurobonds, said Armenian Premier Tigran Sargsyan in his interview to ARKA News Agency.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe receive funds on more favorable terms than we can get in case of issue of Eurobonds\u201d, said Sargsyan.<\/p>\n<p>He said, that the government does not intend to fill the budget deficit by Eurobonds or increase its external debt.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs of now it is not appropriate for the simple reason that their (Eurobonds) percents are very high and it will increase our debt burden. We hold the opposite policy\u201d, said Sargsyan.<\/p>\n<p>Sargsyan did not exclude that in five years the government will re-address this issue.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt will depend on what the financial situation will be in five years\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n<p>According to the data of Armenian National Statistic Service, total state debt of Armenia as of June 30 was about 1455.4 billion drams, of which domestic debt was about 185.6 billion drams and external debt \u2013 1269.8 billion drams or $3442.6 million.
