YEREVAN, September 22. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> As part of the \u201cSide by Side\u201d initiative, IDBank has launched a new partnership, this time supporting families forcibly displaced from Artsakh who are currently living in the Sevan community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IDBank and the \u201cDekavva Fund\u201d charitable foundation have joined forces to support the socio-economic integration of these families and create meaningful opportunities for access to education and the labor market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis new phase of the program involves working with every member of the family, from children to adults. Our goal is to achieve tangible results through the program, helping families address both their social challenges and issues related to their integration into the community. We hope to complete the program with positive outcomes. I am confident that the work carried out by \u2018Harehas\u2019 will have a significant impact on the future of our compatriots from Artsakh,\u201d said Tatevik Vardevanyan, Head of the Communications and Sustainable Development Department at IDBank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWithin the framework of the program, the needs and challenges of each family will be taken into account, with an individual approach to each case,\u201d said Adriana Marutyan, Co-founder and Executive Director of the \u201cDekavva Fund\u201d charitable foundation. \u201cSince \u2018Harehas\u2019 is a community-based program, people displaced from Artsakh will create something new in every community where they live – whether new projects, businesses, or other initiatives. We see their tremendous potential every day and want to support them in developing it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the \u201cSide by Side\u201d program, IDBank has been continuously supporting families forcibly displaced from Artsakh since 2023, focusing on their integration and helping them get back on their feet and build their future in Armenia. Recently, the Bank also covered the tuition fees of 103 students from Artsakh studying at Yerevan State University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhile our initial support was primarily social and focused on covering basic living expenses, we later shifted our focus toward supporting our compatriots from Artsakh through education, professional training, and the development of new skills. This will enable them to secure long-term employment and independently address their social needs,\u201d said Tatevik Vardevanyan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the near future, the Bank will also conduct financial literacy courses in these communities, helping families gain the knowledge and skills they need to make sound and informed financial decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
