YEREVAN, October 19. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> The aggregate after-tax profit of Armenian banks for the period from January to September 2026 reached 334.44 billion drams, compared to 307.87 billion drams for the same period in 2025. This represents an increase of 8.63%, according to an operational bulletin from the ARKA news agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aggregate profit<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All 17 banks featured in the bulletin concluded the nine-month period with a positive financial result. Compared to January\u2013September of the previous year, 13 banks saw an increase in profit, while four experienced a decline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ardshinbank holds the top position in terms of profit volume, with 104.82 billion drams. It is followed by Ameriabank (65.09 billion), ACBA Bank (26.43 billion), Inecobank (22.27 billion), and IDBank (15.74 billion drams).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These five banks accounted for 70.07% of the sector\u2019s total profit. The two largest banks\u2014Ardshinbank and Ameriabank\u2014together accounted for 50.81% of this figure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The highest percentage growth in profit over the nine-month period was recorded by VTB Bank (Armenia), at 79.16%. AMIO Bank saw an increase of 47.71%, while Artsakhbank\u2019s profit grew by 34.84%. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quarterly Profit<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the period from July to September 2026, the after-tax profit of Armenian banks totaled 120.13 billion drams. This represents an increase of 8.40% compared to the April\u2013June period and a 12.09% rise over the profit recorded in the third quarter of 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leading in terms of profit for the third quarter were Ardshinbank (36.05 billion drams), Ameriabank (25.10 billion drams), and Acba Bank (9.89 billion drams). Inekobank ranked fourth with 8.63 billion drams, while IDBank rounded out the top five with 5.59 billion drams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quarterly profit increased for 12 banks and decreased for five. Fast Bank, which posted a loss in the second quarter, achieved a positive result in the third quarter; therefore, a percentage growth figure cannot be calculated due to the negative starting base.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This ranking of banks by profit is based on the ARKA agency\u2019s bulletin, “Performance Indicators of Armenian Banks: Operational Data for the Second Quarter of 2026,” which is compiled from reports published by Armenian banks in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
