{"id":282307,"date":"2026-10-30T16:56:18","date_gmt":"2026-10-30T12:56:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/?p=282307"},"modified":"2026-10-30T16:56:20","modified_gmt":"2026-10-30T12:56:20","slug":"sevak-mikayelyan-elected-as-a-member-of-the-board-of-the-central-bank-of-armenia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2026\/10\/30\/282307\/","title":{"rendered":"Sevak Mikayelyan elected as a member of the Board of the Central Bank of Armenia"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>YEREVAN, October 30. \/AR\u041a\u0410\/. <\/strong>The National Assembly of Armenia elected Sevak Mikayelyan as a member of the Board of the Central Bank of Armenia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following a secret ballot, 63 deputies voted in favor of his candidacy, 28 voted against, and there were no abstentions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mikayelyan&#8217;s candidacy was nominated by the parliamentary faction of the ruling Civil Contract party and was preliminarily reviewed by the NA Standing Committee on Financial, Credit, and Budgetary Affairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sevak Mikayelyan graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Yerevan State University and holds a PhD in economics. He studied at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University (USA) and at the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From 2007 to 2024, he worked at the Central Bank of Armenia, holding various positions, including executive positions.
