The World Bank expects Armenia\u2019s GDP to grow by 4.5% in 2011, World Bank Country Manager for Armenia, Jean-Michel Happi, said to a news conference today. According to him, the forecast for the next year next is 4-5%. Mr. Happi said the World Bank\u2019s projection for global GDP growth is 2.4-2.8%, but the debt crisis may reduce the degree of confidence and result in slowing economic growth.<\/p>\n<p>The World Bank said in its June 2011 edition of Global Economic Prospects that Armenia\u2019s GDP is expected to grow by 4.6% in 2011 and drop to 4.3% in 2012 and to 4.2% in 2013. According to the latest official data of Armenian government, the economy expanded by 5 percent in the first nine months of 2011.
