YEREVAN, October 26. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> The government budget was handled with AMD 16.3 billion deficit in Jan-Sept 2011, while the deficit planned for these nine months amounted to AMD 82.6 billion, the Armenian Finance Ministry\u2019s press office reported on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Of the AMD 88.4 billion that was planned to be spent in Jan-Sept 2011, only AMD 10.4 billion has been spent.<\/p>\n

Deficit financing from domestic sources amounted to AMD 20.1 billion, and that from the outside sources totaled AMD 3.8 billion.<\/p>\n

According to the ministry\u2019s report, the budget revenue grew 9.5% in Jan-Sept 2011, compared with the same period a year earlier, to AMD 620.6 billion.<\/p>\n

Tax and state duty receipts as well as obligatory social payments and official grants grew 10% or by AMD 52.3 billion and 2.1 times or by AMD 6.5 billion.<\/p>\n

Tax and state duty revenue totaled AMD 485 billion, which constitutes 99.9% of the nine-month program less out-of-budget funds.<\/p>\n

The mentioned receipts were 10% greater than those of the same period a year before thanks to the increased inflow of VAT, profit and income taxes and customs duties.<\/p>\n

Armenia\u2019s budget expenditure totaled AMD 636.9 billion in Jan-Sept making up 91% of the amount planned for these nine months.<\/p>\n

According to the finance ministry\u2019s figures, the budget expenditure grew 7% or by AMD 41.9 billion, compared with the same period of 2010. Current expenses amounted to AMD 570.1 billion in Jan-Sept 2011 \u2013 6.6% growth.<\/p>\n

Turnover of Armenian state-owned establishments\u2019 out-of-budget funds as well as payments carried out from the government budget without restrictions were included in the planned and actual indicators to ensure a consolidated accounting of the country\u2019s funds.
