YEREVAN, November 9. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> Armenian banks\u2019 aggregate credit investments in the country\u2019s resident economy reached AMD 1104.7 billion by late September 2011 after growing 2.6% or by AMD 29.6 billion, compared with August.<\/p>\n

According to the information available on the central bank\u2019s official website, their lending to industry accounts for 23.3% of the banks\u2019 aggregate loan portfolio. Banks have lent AMD 257.8 billion to this sector of the national economy \u2013 4.7% month-on-month growth.<\/p>\n

They also have lent AMD 248 billion to trade segment \u2013 22.4% share in the loan portfolio and 3.5% month-on-month growth.<\/p>\n

Consumer loans extended to the resident economy grew 3% in September, compared with August, to AMD 197 billion and made up 17.8% of banks\u2019 aggregate credit portfolio.<\/p>\n

Mortgage loans totaled AMD 103.3 billion in late September after growing 1.5% since the beginning of that month.<\/p>\n

Banks\u2019 lending to the construction sector amounted to AMD 88.1 billion in September (1.1% decline, compared with August).<\/p>\n

Agricultural loans totaled AMD 69.8 billion in late September (0.4% decline).<\/p>\n

Loans extended to services area reached AMD 52.2 in late September billion after growing 3.7%, compared with the previous month, and those extended to transport and telecommunication sector amounted to AMD 39.4 billion after growing 4.5%.
