According to a press release, sent to ARKA news agency, the system issued 17,998 ArCa cards (176% year-on-year growth), 7,584 Visa cards (6.2% decline) and 10,961 Master Cards cards (122.5% growth).<\/p>\n<p>The total number of effective cards exceeded 723,000, by 32.6% more than in 2010 October. Transactions were effected by 433,424 cards against 371,181 in the same month a year earlier. Armenian Card CJSC was established on March 16, 2000 as a united national payment system.<br \/>\nToday 19 of Armenia\u2019s 21 commercial banks participate in ArCa payment system.<\/p>\n<p>The company is a full member of MasterCard Europe international payment system. It also processes VISA and American Express (Third Party Processor) cards.
