{"id":29697,"date":"2011-11-15T17:54:06","date_gmt":"2011-11-15T17:54:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2011\/11\/15\/234137\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T12:53:45","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T12:53:45","slug":"armenian-authorities-economic-policy-has-shielded-country-from-consequences-of-global-crisis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2011\/11\/15\/29697\/","title":{"rendered":"Armenian Authorities\u2019 Economic Policy Has Shielded Country From Consequences Of Global Crisis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, November 15. \/ARKA\/. <\/strong>Armenian authorities\u2019 right economic policy has shielded the country from grave consequences of the global crisis, Gagik Melikyan, MP from the ruling Republican Party of Armenia, said on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThanks to reorganization of the economy, Armenia is gradually returning to stable development,\u201d he said. \u201cOur economy grew less vulnerable and more flexible and resistant to adverse impacts.\u201d<br \/>\nMelikyan said that the country has already restoring its pre-crisis indicators.<\/p>\n<p>He stressed the importance of social orientation of the government budget, which allocates a great deal of money for social sector\u2019s programs.<\/p>\n<p>It is proposed in the 2012 draft government budget to earmark 48.3% of budget funds for human development, social security, health care, education, science and culture.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSpecial attention is paid to improvement of vulnerable categories of people,\u201d the lawmaker said. \u201cPensions and benefits are expected to be raised by 10% in 2012.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, National Assembly embarked on discussing the 2012 draft government budget.<\/p>\n<p>The budget revenue is projected at AMD 910 billion, spending AMD 1042.5 billion and deficit 132.5 billion here.<\/p>\n<p>In this draft budget, revenue is planned to be enlarged by 6.8% in 2012, compared with 2011 (AMD 852.4 billion) and spending is projected to grow by about AMD 41.5 billion.
