YEREVAN, November 25. \/ARKA\/. For optimal calculation of efficiency of tariff policy by mandatory car insurance from three to five years is required, said first Deputy of Executive Director of the insurance company \u201cINGO Armenia\u201d Arevshat Meliksetyan.

\n\u201cIt is too early to speak about tariff policy because it is not possible today to calculate the loss factor due to the fact that the introduction of mandatory car insurance was calculated for one year that has not expired yet\u201d, he said answering the questions of the journalists of ARKA News Agency.

\nMeliksetyan said that statistics should be complete, and one year statistics is not enough, as for calculation of profitability or loss of the given type of insurance, minimum three-five years are needed.

\nFor example, if from January to September the curve of payments of compensation rose at an angle of 25-30 degrees, from September to November the angle of growth was about 80 degrees which means increase of the number of car accidents.

\n\u201cThe level of outreach of population also plays a great role when people stop to doubt in the necessity of applying to the insurance company in case of car accident\u201d, he said.

\n\u201cINGO Armenia\u201d was established in 1997 as Closed Joint Stock Insurance Company \u201cEfes\u201d. In December 2003, 75% of shares of the company was obtained by the Russian company \u201cINGOSSTRAKH\u201d after which it was renamed \u201cINGO Armenia\u201d. Levon Altunyan (Armenia) is the shareholder of 25% of shares. Charter capital of the company is 750.9 million drams.

\nAccording to the data of the company, in January-September 2011 the volume of insurance premiums of the company was 4 billion drams, and the number of compensations \u2013 1 billion drams. Volume of insurance premiums collected by mandatory car insurance was 2.2 billion drams in the reporting period and compensations – 633 million drams.
