YEREVAN, January 10. \/ARKA\/. Rosgosstrakh-Armenia, Ingo-Armenia and Reso insurance companies settled 22,383 cases in the first 11 months of 2011 involving car damages. They accounted for 64.6% of all cases, having paid a total of 3.05 billion drams in compensation, according to a report by Car Insurers Bureau.<\/p>\n
It said Rosgosstrakh-Armenia paid 1.6 billion drams in compensations, Ingo-Armenia\u2013 about 860 million drams, and Reso \u2013 604.4 million drams. The amount of declared but not settled losses amounted at the end of November to 1.1 billion drams, and the amount of unearned bonuses to about 2 billion drams.<\/p>\n
The mandatory insurance against physical damage caused to other cars and individuals became mandatory in the country on January 1,2011. According to the government data, there are some 430,000 or so vehicles registered in Armenia. There are eight insurance companies in Armenia.
