The volume of deposits kept at commercial banks of Armenia as of December 2011 grew by 4.8% from November to a total of 969.7 billion drams, the Central Bank said.<\/p>\n<p>It said also the figure represented a 38.1% rise from the beginning of 2011. The volume of deposits in Armenian dram in December 2011, compared with the previous month, increased by 8.6% amounting to about 308.1 billion drams. Deposits in foreign currency in December increased by 3.3% to 661.6 billion drams. ($1 &#8211; 387.74 AMD).
