YEREVAN, January 31. \/ARKA\/. Economic activity index rose 5.9% in Armenia in 2011, compared with 2010, National Statistical Service of Armenia reports.<\/p>\n
The economic activity index rose 6.1% in December 2011, compared with the same month a year earlier, and 15%, compared with November 2011.<\/p>\n
According to the statistical report, construction faced 11.5% decline in 2011, compared with 2010.<\/p>\n
Construction amounted to AMD 480.8 billion.<\/p>\n
Industrial output totaled AMD 992.1 billion in 2011 after growing 14.1%, compared with the previous year.<\/p>\n
Agriculture sector accounted for the output worth AMD 992.1 billion and 14.1% year-on-year growth in 2011.<\/p>\n
Armenia\u2019s foreign trade turnover grew 14.4% to AMD 5481 billion or $2044.2 million.
\nServices worth AMD 872.4 billion were provided in Armenia in 2011 \u2013 6.1% year-on-year growth.<\/p>\n
