YEREVAN, February 3. \/ARKA\/. <\/strong>All the 21 commercial banks of Armenia were among the country\u2019s top 1,000 taxpayers in 2011.<\/p>\n

According to the information available on Armenian State Revenue Committee\u2019s website, they transferred more than AMD 21.6 billion to the government budget in 2011.<\/p>\n

In 2010, twenty banks sent more than 13 billion to the budget.<\/p>\n

Tax agencies collected over AMD 21.3 billion from banks and customs services AMD 296.2 million.<\/p>\n

Banks accounted for 4.5% of aggregate taxes paid by 1,000 largest taxpayers in 2011.<\/p>\n

HSBC Bank Armenia was the biggest taxpayer among Armenia\u2019s banks and 21st<\/sup> among top 1,000 taxpayers \u2013 it transferred AMD 2.9 billion to the government budget.<\/p>\n

Bank VTB (Armenia), with its AMD 2.5 billion sent to the budget, was second among banks and 30th<\/sup> among the country\u2019s top 1,000.<\/p>\n

ACBA Credit Agricole, with AMD 2.4 billion, came third among banks and 33rd<\/sup> among top 1,000.<\/p>\n

Ameriabank\u2019s AMD 1.9 billion brought it fourth rank among banks and 40th<\/sup> among top 1,000 taxpayers.<\/p>\n

Ardshininvestbank transferred about AMD 1.7 billion to the budget and ranked fifth and 46th<\/sup> respectively.<\/p>\n

Four other banks found themselves in the raw of 100 top taxpayers as well \u2013 Unibank (about AMD 1.5 billion, 53rd<\/sup>), Armbusinessbank (over AMD 1.2 billion, 69th<\/sup>), Inecobank (over AMD 1.1 billion, 72nd<\/sup>) and Anelik Bank (over AMD 813.3 million, 100th<\/sup>).<\/p>\n

Taxes paid by top 1,000 taxpayers totaled more than AMD 483.5 billion in 2011 against AMD 432.8 billion in 2010. ($1 \u2013 AMD 387.31).-0-<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
