A statement on its official website says the average\u00a0rate on\u00a0legal entities\u2019 deposits increased by 0.9% from 2010 December to 8.3%.<\/p>\n<p>The average interest rate\u00a0on deposits\u00a0in\u00a02011\u00a0increased by 0.7\u00a0percentage points to\u00a08.8%. There are 21 banks in Armenia.
