{"id":33631,"date":"2012-02-17T14:36:57","date_gmt":"2012-02-17T14:36:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2012\/02\/17\/234876\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T12:55:33","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T12:55:33","slug":"over-1000-new-accounts-opened-in-armenias-central-depository-in-2011","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2012\/02\/17\/33631\/","title":{"rendered":"Over 1,000 new accounts opened in Armenia\u2019s Central Depository in 2011"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, February 17. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> The number of individual accounts serviced in the Central Depository of Armenia reached 158,442 in late December 2011, Konstantin Saroyan, director of NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange, said at a news conference on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Of them, 1,004 accounts were opened in 2011, he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShareholders of 1,616 organizations, of which 132 jointed the depository in 2011, are listed here now,\u201d Saroyan said.<\/p>\n<p>NASDAQ OMX Armenia (former Armenian Stock Exchange, Armex), was established in 2001 as a voluntary merger of 21 broker (dealer) companies.<\/p>\n<p>In January 2008, Nordic exchange operator OMX Group acquired 100% of shares of the Armenian Stock Exchange (Armex) and the Central Depository of Armenia (CDA).<\/p>\n<p>Twelve stakes of 11 issuers and five corporate bonds of four issuers were listed here as of February 16, 2012.
