The number of cashless transactions rose by 3.6 times.<\/p>\n<p>ArCa payment system was used also in January this year to make 51,442 Internet payments, down by 33.6% from January 2011.\u00a0The total sum of these transactions exceeded 418.7 million drams, which is 11.8% more from a year earlier. The system was used to make also 5,895 card-to-card money transfers worth 420 million drams, by 52.3% down from a year earlier.<\/p>\n<p>Armenian Card CJSC was established on March 16, 2000 as a united national payment system. Today 19 of Armenia\u2019s 21 commercial banks participate in ArCa payment system.
