It says the bulk of loans in December \u2013 almost 80%- were provided in foreign currency.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, the amount of\u00a0educational loans\u00a0granted\u00a0in foreign currency at\u00a0the end of January amounted to more than\u00a02.4 billion\u00a0drams, an increase of 2.4% from 2011 December. At the same\u00a0time, the volume\u00a0of consumer loans in the reporting\u00a0period amounted to more than 223\u00a0billion\u00a0drams, having increased\u00a0by 2.6% from 2011 December.
