YEREVAN, March 15. \/ARKA\/. Government of Armenia on Thursday approved the decision on making changes and amendments to the law \u201cOn mandatory insurance of liability resulting from operation of motor vehicles\u201d and the Code of Administrative Law Infringements envisaging simplification of the process of state registration and record of vehicles.
\nIntroducing the draft decision, Deputy Head of Police of Armenia Artur Osikyan said that in the implementation of registration and record of vehicles in case of its alienation no longer will be checked the presence of the certificate of mandatory car insurance from the former owner, but will take into account the presence of the certificate of mandatory car insurance from the new owner.
\n\u201cNew amendments to the law will allow to detect absence of mandatory car insurance contract through other information systems and through registration and record of vehicles\u201d, he said.
\nSo, significantly will be simplified the process of state registration and record of vehicles.
\nThe law \u201cOn mandatory insurance of liability resulting from operation of motor vehicles\u201d entered into force on January 1, 2011. The goal of mandatory car insurance in Armenia is the provision of worthy compensation to people suffered in the result of operation of motor vehicles, as well as protection of interests affected.
