YEREVAN, April 16. \/ARKA\/. Armenian commercial banks bought a total of $79.1 million at the local foreign currency market in a time span from April 10 to 14 at the average weighted exchange rate of 391.7 drams per one USD, the Central Bank of Armenia told ARKA.
\nIt said the banks also bought a total of 6.1 million euros at 511.15 drams per one euro and about 582 million Russian rubles at 13.14 drams per one ruble.
\nIn the same time span the banks sold $82.2 million,\u00a0 \u20ac11.6 million and\u00a0 115.7 million rubles at 392.21, 515.59\u00a0 and 13.35 drams exchange rates respectively.
\nThe Central Bank said also the amount of foreign currency buying and sale transactions in the inter-bank forex market\u00a0 amounted to $500,000 with\u00a0 392.34 drams per one USD rate exchange rate. The banks also provided 26.3 million drams worth loans in Armenian national currency from April 2 to 8 and $33.3 million worth loans in USD.
