Economic activity in Armenia jumped 6.6% in March of this year from the same month a year earlier, the National Statistical Service of Armenia reports ARKA.<br \/>\nThe economic activity within January-March 2012 climbed 6.1 % compared to the same period a year earlier.<\/p>\n<p>The statistics shows that construction\u00a0 sector of Armenia reported 9.5% tumble in March of this year from the same month last year whereas construction works jumped almost twice to over 20.7 billion drams in March from February.<\/p>\n<p>Industrial production in March of this year rose by 12.6%\u00a0 from a year earlier and 9.2% from February to 85.6 billion drams.<br \/>\nAgricultural sector advanced 0.1% to nearly 27.1 billion drams in March compared to the same month last year.<\/p>\n<p>Foreign trade in Armenia increased by 20.4% to 204.4 billion drams ($525.6 million) within the reported period.<br \/>\nThe volume of provided services gained 12.6% to nearly 74.9 billion drams in March of this year from a year earlier.<\/p>\n<p>The state budget for 2012 year\u00a0 projects\u00a0 4.2 percent GDP growth.
