{"id":37433,"date":"2012-05-31T08:28:01","date_gmt":"2012-05-31T08:28:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2012\/05\/31\/235637\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T12:57:38","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T12:57:38","slug":"imf-to-allocate-100-mln-to-armenia-in-2012","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2012\/05\/31\/37433\/","title":{"rendered":"IMF to allocate $100 mln to Armenia in 2012"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, May 31. \/ARKA\/. <\/strong>The International Monetary Fund aims to allocate $100 million in financial aid to Armenia in 2012, IMF Resident Representative in Armenia Guillermo Tolosa said in the interview with ARKA  news agency.<\/p>\n<p>New funds will be directed to total budget support and replenishment of the Central Bank\u2019s reserves, he added.<\/p>\n<p>According to him the main purpose of the program is to continue the policy of fostering macroeconomic stability.<\/p>\n<p>Tolosa noted that IMF continues focusing on tax and financial spheres in Armenia.<\/p>\n<p>He also clarified that  Armenia received total of $114 million from the Fund in 2011<br \/>\nAccording to IMF Resident Representative in Armenia, the Fund reports a progress in the process of its programs\u2019 implementation in the country and mutual cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>In reference to this he said that the government had managed to deal with the budget deficit, Central Bank\u2019s reserves, rise in monetary mass as well as administered effectively monetary-credit policy, monitoring of financial sector, etc.<\/p>\n<p>Tolosa noted that the Armenian government will repay $156 million of its debt to IMF this year.<br \/>\nAccording to IMF Armenia, the republic received 745 million SDR ( over $1.1 billion) since 1992.
