Armenia\u2019s economic activity index in April 2012, compared with the same month a year before, was recorded at 7.5%, the National Statistical Service of Armenia reports.<br \/>\nThe April 2012 economic activity index, compared with the previous month, was 4.5%.<\/p>\n<p>Construction in April 2012 cost AMD 21.2 billion \u2013 2.2% month-on-month growth.<br \/>\nIndustrial output in April 2012 amounted to more than AMD 82.9 billion &#8211; 12.3% more than in April 2011 and 1.9% more than in March 2012.<\/p>\n<p>According to statistical reports, agriculture sector\u2019s output grew 2.3% in April 2012, compared with April 2011, to AMD 38.9 billion.<br \/>\nThe country\u2019s trade turnover shrank 0.2% in Apr 2012, compared with Apr 2011, to AMD 175.4 billion or $447.7 million.<\/p>\n<p>Services sector enjoyed 6.2% year-on-year growth in Apr 2012 (AMD 73.7 billion).<br \/>\nIn the 2012 government budget, GDP growth is projected at 4.2%.
