Deposits in Armenian commercial banks advance\u00a0 by 1.9 % in late April to nearly 1. 033.2 trillion drams from March.<\/p>\n<p>According to the information available on the Armenian Central Bank\u2019s official website, deposits in drams totaled in nearly AMD 327.4\u00a0\u00a0 billion in April 2012 after slipping\u00a0 0.2 %, compared with March, and deposits in foreign currencies rose by 2.9 % to nearly AMD 705.9 billion within the reported period.<\/p>\n<p>Residents\u2019 deposits dropped by 0.7 p.p. in April of this year from March\u00a0 to over AMD 802.1 billion and accounted for 77.6% of aggregate dram deposits in Armenian banks.<br \/>\nAs of April 30, 2012, there are 21 commercial banks in Armenia.
