{"id":38567,"date":"2012-06-27T11:17:47","date_gmt":"2012-06-27T11:17:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2012\/06\/27\/235873\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T12:58:12","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T12:58:12","slug":"bstdb-president-commends-armenian-authorities-for-improving-investment-climate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2012\/06\/27\/38567\/","title":{"rendered":"BSTDB president commends Armenian authorities for improving investment climate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, June 27. \/ARKA\/. <\/strong>Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) president Andrei Kondakov, praised Armenian authorities for \u2018significant improvement of investment climate  over the past ten years.\u2019 In an exclusive interview with ARKA news agency Mr. Kondakov said  Armenian companies have become more transparent and understandable to investors and the best have mastered the basics of modern business.<\/p>\n<p>Kondakov said it is easy now to find here companies that operate transparently, are being audited by foreign firms having also introduced modern corporate governance practices.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;These companies understand us, and they are our good partners,\u00bb he stressed.<\/p>\n<p>The Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB ) is an international financial institution established by Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Turkey, and Ukraine. The BSTDB headquarter is in Thessaloniki, Greece. BSTDB supports economic development and regional cooperation by providing loans, credit lines, equity and guarantees for projects and trade financing in the public and private sectors in its member countries. The authorized capital of the Bank is SDR 3 billion (aapx. 3.5 billion euro). BSTDB is rated long-term \u201ca\u201d by Standard and Poor\u2019s and \u201cA3\u201d by Moody\u2019s. Since its inception in 1999 the Bank has financed 12 projects in Armenia worth 50 million euros and plans to double this amount by 2015.
