{"id":40520,"date":"2012-08-21T15:14:23","date_gmt":"2012-08-21T15:14:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2012\/08\/21\/236225\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T12:59:06","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T12:59:06","slug":"arca-cards-use-din-july-to-make-64-2-billion-drams-worth-transactions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2012\/08\/21\/40520\/","title":{"rendered":"ArCA cards use din July to make 64.2 billion drams worth transactions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, August 21. \/ARKA\/.<\/strong> The total amount of transactions made through Armenian Card (ArCA) payment system in 2012 July exceeded  62.2  billion drams, showing a 21 percent increase from the same month in 2011, the company told ARKA news agency in a press release.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, more than 1.3 billion transactions were made, by 13 percent more from 2011 July.<\/p>\n<p>Plastic cards issued by ArCa members, including Mastercards and Visa cards, were used  to make<br \/>\n1,239,466 transactions worth 59.7 billion drams, a 20 percent rise from the previous month of June.<\/p>\n<p>Visa cards issued by non-members were used to make about 4,900 transactions worth 2.7 billion drams, a 32 percent rise over the same month in 2011, while MasterCards were used to make  22,336 transactions worth  1.7 billion drams, a 45 percent growth.<\/p>\n<p>Armenian Card CJSC was established on March 16, 2000 as a united national payment system.<\/p>\n<p>Today 19 of Armenia\u2019s 21 commercial banks participate in ArCa payment system. The company is a full member of MasterCard Europe international payment system. It also processes VISA and American Express (Third Party Processor) cards.
