YEREVAN, August 31. \/ARKA\/. Economic activity in Armenia rose by 7.2% in July 2012 from a year earlier, according to the National Statistical Service of Armenia.<\/div>\n
Along with this, economic activity advanced by 7.7% within January-July 2012 from the same period a year earlier.<\/div>\n
According to the statistical data, construction sector tumbled by 0.6% in July 2012 from the same month in 2011. The volume of constructional works in July hit nearly 34.7 billion drams, slipping by 3.9% from June.<\/div>\n
Industrial production increased by 16% to 93.8 billion drams \u00a0in July 2012 from a year earlier, and by 4.8% from June.<\/div>\n
Agriculture boosted by 15.3% to over 86.9 billion drams within the reported period, foreign trade turnover climbed by 6.5% to 180.4 billion drams ($436.2 million).<\/div>\n
The volume of services jumped by 6% to over 84.6 billion drams in July 2012 from the same month a year earlier.<\/div>\n
