Armenia faced a 2.5% year-on-year inflation in August 2012, the National Statistical Service reported on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The inflation was mainly due to a 4.7-percent growth in prices for nonfoods.<br \/>\nAccording to the statistical report, prices for foods, alcoholic drinks and tobacco rose 1.7% in August 2012, compared with the same month a year earlier.<\/p>\n<p>Year-on-year consumer price index was recorded at 102.2% in Jan-Aug 2012.
