{"id":44694,"date":"2012-12-03T10:55:12","date_gmt":"2012-12-03T10:55:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/2012\/12\/03\/237033\/"},"modified":"2024-12-15T13:01:10","modified_gmt":"2024-12-15T13:01:10","slug":"armenian-reporters-to-talk-with-ebrd-eu-officials-about-modernization-of-yerevan-metro","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armbanks.am\/en\/2012\/12\/03\/44694\/","title":{"rendered":"Armenian reporters to talk with EBRD, EU officials about modernization of Yerevan metro"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>YEREVAN, December 3. \/ARKA\/. <\/strong>Journalists are invited to meet with senior representatives of the EU and EBRD outside \u201cZoravar Andranik\u201d metro station Tuesday, 13:30, to talk about modernization of Yerevan Metro.<\/p>\n<p>During the meeting, journalists will also have a chance to look at renovated metro vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>Reporters will have an opportunity to pose questions to<br \/>\n&#8211; Head of EU delegation to Armenia Traian Hristea,<br \/>\n&#8211; EBRD Head of Yerevan Office, Valeriu Razlog<br \/>\n&#8211; Chairman of the Board of Yerevan Metro \u2013 Valery Harutyunyan,<br \/>\n&#8211; Director of Yerevan Metro Paylak Yayloyan.<br \/>\n&#8211;<br \/>\nEuropean Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the EU\u2019s Neighbourhood Investment Facility (NIF) have jointly provided EUR 30million to the Yerevan Metro to help finance a significant rehabilitation and upgrade. In the upgrade process, special importance was attached to the problem of water ingress into the metro tunnel as well as to passenger safety.
